We are committed to maintaining robust privacy protections for our panelists. Our Privacy Policy is designed to help you understand how we collect, use and safeguard the information you provide us. By accepting our Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions, you consent to our collection, storage, use of your personal information as described in this Privacy Policy.

Information Collection, Use, and Sharing

We only have access to/collect information that you voluntarily give us via direct contact or email from you. We will not sell or rent this information to anyone. We will not share your information with any third party outside of our organization. Unless you ask us not to, we may contact you via email in the future to tell you about upcoming tests.

Security

You should be assured that the data you provide in any sensory evaluation will be kept confidential by the sensory research team. You will never be personally identified in any work published as a result of your participation in any sensory study without your prior consent. Your personal information will be protected and not handed to any third party. The computers/servers in which we store the information are kept in a secure environment.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Although we are excited to have you partake and complete any sensory test you sign up for;

• You should know that your participation is purely voluntary.
• You will receive a token after the successful completion of a test.
• You have the right to withdraw from a study without giving us any explanation and without any penalty to you.
• Your withdrawal from a test will not negatively affect your personal relationship with the investigator, the department or the university as a whole.
• You can only participate in a test you have been scheduled for.
• For most tests, there is a minimum requirement that needs to be met, you will not be invited to participate in a test if you do not meet this requirement.
• We are not obliged to allow you to participate in a study or compensate you for your time for a test you have not fully qualified for.
• You are responsible for the care of your valuable items when you come into our test centre to participate in any study.
• We do not have child care facilities at our testing centre and so cannot provide care for your children if you choose to bring them along. Please know that we recommend that you do not bring children into the testing centre when they are not participating in a test.
• We reserve the right to disqualify you for continuing a test even after you have been recruited if we find out that you were recruited based on false information.
• We do not accept any liability for any illness caused if you are qualified for a test based on false information about your health and food allergies that you provide to us or by choosing to withhold vital information about your health condition.
• Please know that you cannot share information about our test centre or test methods to any competing organization.
• Any information you become privy to by participating in a test is to be kept confidential between you and the sensory evaluation laboratory test centre.
